Two Hundred Calories

I've mentioned this to a couple of you, but it's a cool little website, and this is a good place to link it. This website shows you how much of a particular type of food equals 200 calories. It has pictures, as well as the number of grams. A lot of the stuff makes sense when you think about it, but it's a good reminder as to how much better for you fruits and vegetables really are. An example:

200 Calories
Broccoli - 588 grams
Cheddar cheese - 51 grams

One thing I'd like to note, though, is that mixed nuts are at the bottom, and are one of the most calorie-dense items you can find. The general thinking that people have is that nuts are good for you, and there are definitely good things that come from eating nuts (teehee). But when you're watching your calories, nuts can run up the score pretty quickly.
